Circuit Board Design Intern (RaveBio) Fall 2023-Spring 2024
Fall 2023 Term

In Fall 2023, after gaining some confidence from learning circuit board design and gaining some traction on embedded systems, I applied and was given the opportunity to work as a Circuit Board Design Intern with RaveBio. RaveBio is a newly formed company that won the 2023 Big Ideas Business Pitch competition for the creation of a multi-use laboratory shaker table (See Big Ideas 2023)
While operating out of the Gator Hatchery office for the Fall 2023, I was given the task of technical verification of circuit board design and workflow creation for the team in order to be able to train future electrical engineering interns/workers to do so. A signifigant portion of this work was done remotely as many members of the team were working outside of Gainesville.
Detailed documentation for hardware simulations was the first priority for the Fall 2023 term, in order to inspire confidence in the analogue components while a coworker was in charge of software on the other end. Doing so gained me more experience with Altium and LTSpice verification. Whilst I was not running simulations for the device, I would spent an extensive amount of time on reviewing the theory behind operation.
Spring 2024 Term(Upcoming)
Given changes in my plans and an extensive conversation with my boss, my objectives have been extended for the following in terms of the spring
Create multiple prototypes for upgrades.
Product testing with research labs for feedback.
Construction of a testbench for testing, to allow for modular expansion.
Bluetooth mobile application finalization.
